If you have the courage, the heart and the desire to be a leader, we invite you to explore what it takes to Join the Uniondale Fire Department. If you know which company you wish to join, speak to the Officers of that company if they are unsure, they can reach out to the Chiefs Office.

Once a person chooses to join, they are required to meet at the company they wish to join, Sunday Mornings for 3 consecutive weeks at which time they will then be brought to the Chiefs Office to be introduced to the Chiefs.

• Each person who wish's to join is required to fill out forms for an Criminal & Arson Background Check, NYS Driving License validation.
• When Background checks are completed, the perspective is given an application to be filled out.
• The Company Interviews the applicant for a company vote
• The Fire Council reviews applicant for a vote.
• Each perspective is required to take a full physical and submit to a drug test.
